Submitting Your Design
Your submission must include the following materials in PDF format:
- Design of a hoodie on the template provided
- Design of one item of accessory of your choice (to be selected among cap, t-shirt or tote bag) on the accessories template provided
- Introduction of the design in English (max. 200 words)
Design Guidelines
- All design works submitted must be original.
- The design of the hoodie and the selected accessory need to be done on the given template and not altered in shape or cutting.
- The design of the hoodie may include a maximum of 4 prints or embroideries (any combination as you wish, e.g. 2 prints & 2 embroideries).

- Pantone colors may be used as a reference for the design, including color choice of the fabrics, prints and embroideries.
- Designs containing abusive ideas, propaganda, or any elements which HKUST deems inappropriate or that may negatively impact the University's branding and reputation are strictly prohibited. Designs that violate these rules or infringe on copyright will be disqualified.

Assessment Criteria
Preliminary Round
Each design submission will be assessed by the judging panel based on the following criteria:
- Connection with HKUST (35%)
- Visual Appeal (30%)(Hoodie: 25% + Accessory: 5%)
- Creativity (20%)
- Feasibility – the extent to which your design is technically adaptable for actual production (15%)
Final Round (The "Catwalk" show)
The finalists' designs will be reassessed by a different judging panel based on the following criteria:
Judging Panel
For the preliminary round, all submissions will be assessed by a judging panel consisting of HKUST senior management, staff of Global Engagement & Communications Office, an alumni representative and other selected members of HKUST. Members of the judging panel will also be present in the “Catwalk” as the final round of competition, to give scores and comments to the finalists performing the showcase on stage.
